Foreign participants should plan to arrive at Guarulhos International Airport in São Paulo (GRU). Please visite the web page Info 1 and Info 2 for informations about the airport and its services.

We will organize transportation from the international airport in São Paulo (GRU) to São Carlos. There will be two pick-up times on 20 November 2012 (precise information will be provided in the last announcement).

Alternatively, you can use public transportation:

São Paulo Airport - Campinas - São Carlos: there is a bus, operated by Caprioli, which leaves from the airport to Campinas. The ticket for the trip should be purchased at the airport Caprioli booth, Terminal 2, "Asa C"; the schedule is available here ("Parte Cumbica" means "leaves Cumbica Airport", which is the same as Guarulhos Airport). In Campinas there are two stops; participants should get off at the second stop, which is the Campinas City Bus Station ("Rodoviária"). In Campinas Bus Station you can catch a bus to São Carlos either by Empresa Cruz or Viação Cometa.
São Paulo Airport - São Paulo Bus Station - São Carlos: After arriving at Sao Paulo airport, you need to take the airport shuttle service (a blue bus) to Tiete bus station (main bus station in Sao Paulo city). There is a bus from the airport every 50 min. You need to buy the ticket in the Bus office, just outside the airport, neart to the car rental places.
From the Tiete bus station, you take a Coach to Sao Carlos. Two companies have the service to Sao Carlos (Empresa Cruz and Cometa).
Each half an hour there is a coach to Sao Carlos (one hour from each companie). The travel to Sao Carlos by bus takes around three and a half hours. Please note that in the coach Sao Carlos is not the final destination.

Located in the geographical center of the State of Sao Paulo, the city of Sao Carlos possesses special characteristics that you/they turn a prominence place under several aspects. The suave climate, with annual medium temperature of 19,6 ºC, added to the medium altitudes between 800 and 1.000 meters, does of Sao Carlos a place very pleasant, curious geological formations and beautiful landscapes.

Conference will arrange transport from Sao Paulo airport to the Venue. Details will be available sometime later. The main access road to Sao Carlos is through the highway Washington Luis (SP 310) that does connection of the municipal district to the capital from Sao Paulo. Other such highways as the Highway Thales de Lorena Peixoto Jr. (SP 318), Highway Dr. Paulo Lauro (SP 215), highway Luiz Augusto de Oliveira (SP 215) they also give access to the municipal district.
