Biography:
Current Director of Machine Intelligence Research Labs (MIR Labs), which has members from more than 100 countries. Dr. Abraham's research and development experience includes more than 23 years in the industry and academia. He received the M.S. degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He works in a multi-disciplinary environment involving machine (network) intelligence, cyber security, sensor networks, Web intelligence, scheduling, data mining and applied to various real world problems. He has given more than 60 conference plenary lectures/tutorials and invited seminars/lectures in over 75 Universities around the globe. He is an author/co-author of 900+ publications and some of the works have also won best paper awards at International conferences and also received several citations. Some articles are available in the ScienceDirect Top 25 hottest articles. He serves/has served the editorial board of over 50 International journals and has also guest edited 40 special issues on various topics.
Since 2008, he Chairs, the IEEE SMC Society Technical Committee on Soft Computing and also represent the IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitors Program in Europe (2011-13).
Besides an active Volunteer of ACM/IEEE, he has initiated and is also involved in the organization of several annual conferences technically co-sponsored by IEEE/ACM: HIS (12 years), ISDA (12 years), IAS(8 years) NWeSP (8 years) NaBIC (4 years), SoCPaR (4 years), CASoN (4 years) etc. During the last 15 years, he has been associated with the following Universities for Teaching* (short courses to semester programmes) and Research (supervision of PhD students and collaboration involving successful research funding):

For about 2.5 years, he worked under the Institute of Information Technology Advancement (IITA) Professorship Program funded by the South Korean Government. Before turning into a full time academic, he was working with three International companies: Keppel Engineering, Singapore,Hyundai Engineering, Korea and Ashok Leyland Ltd, India where he was involved in different industrial research and development projects for nearly 8 years.
