Like previous years, we expect the WICT 2014 proceedings to be published by IEEE subject to fulfilling of all quality requirements of IEEE. All submitted papers will be refereed by experts in the field based on the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and clarity. Like previous editions, all accepted papers presented at WICT 2014 will be selected and recommended for possible publication in Journal Special Issues and Edited Volumes (indexed by SCI, EI Compendex, etc.).
This year, we introduce additional academic activities, i.e. the High Impact Editor-in-Chief Panel Discussion, Student Symposium, Parallel Symposiums, and Research Product Exhibition. Few Editor-in-chiefs from world renowned journals in ICT will be gathered in a special forum to facilitate sharing session for tips and advice on journal publication. The Special Issues Journal Paper Inclusion for selected papers provides the opportunity for WICT 2014 proceedings authors to extend their manuscript for submission into the selected high impact journal. Besides that, Parallel Symposiums provide a discussion platform in more specific topics, while Student Symposium provides opportunity to student researchers to validate their work in progress with experts in the field.
The highlight of Government programme is the ICT Roundtable Discussion and Resolution Presentation on the critical issue of Big Data Technology. These activities play a role in preparing a discussion bowl for related parties to update the current status in ICT policy implementation.
On the other hand, the industry programme focuses on ICT Industry Product Exhibition and ICT paper presentation. Industry is welcomed to exhibit their leading-age solutions to promote their products and building up future collaboration network.
