Sebastian Ventura is Associate Professor of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Cordoba, where he heads the Knowledge Discovery and Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory. He is the author or coauthor of more than 150 international publications, as well as the editor of three books and several special issues. He has also been engaged in twelve research projects (being the coordinator of three of them) supported by the Spanish and Andalusian governments and the European Union, concerning several aspects of the area of evolutionary computation, machine learning, and data mining and its applications. Prof. Ventura is a Senios Member of the IEEE Computer, Computational Intelligence and Systems, Man and Cybernetics societiesand the Association of Computing Machinery.
