Roundtable Discussion program is intended to produce a roadmap on the contribution of Big Data Technology leading to the preparation and strategy for catastrophic event management. The proposed title of the Roundtable is "Big Data Technology in Catastrophic Events Preparedness".  The tentative schedule are as follows:

The selected topics for roundtable discussion are in line with the national key agenda of Malaysia, i.e. the Big Data and Open Data initiative. This initiative is one of the important issues in handling unexpected disaster. It will be an important solution if it can be harnessed as a strategy from the perspective of ICT. Therefore the proposed title is “Big Data Technology in Catastrophic Events Preparedness”.

WICT 2014 aims to provide a discussion platform by gathering 100 "key person" from local and international experts in the related fields. The roundtable is expected to produce an integrated roadmap for a short term (3 years), medium term (5 years) and long term (10 years). The participants will be divided into 10 small groups according to the direction of the proposed 5 discussions as follows:

1. Infrastructure Development
2. Impact Analysis and Risk Management
3. Community Engagement
4. Global Support Establishment
5. Research and Development Direction
